Villa Il Giglio

Villa Il Giglio is a masseria-style villa and restored Saracen trullo set among centuries-old olive trees in the Puglian countryside between Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica, ten minutes by car from each. It sleeps ten across five en-suite bedrooms: four in the single-storey main house, and a fifth in the trullo itself, which stands thirty metres away. The estate is fully fenced, its lawns and Mediterranean gardens set within a landscape of olive groves and scattered trulli.

The house is laid out entirely on one level around a modern kitchen beneath a barrel-vaulted stone ceiling. Fully equipped with a Nespresso machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, freezer and two fridges, it opens on one side to the front garden, with its lounge area and views of the trullo, and on the other to the back terrace and pool. From the kitchen the house leads through to the bedrooms and to a large, light living room that stays cosy through the cooler months, with a dining table beneath a chandelier and sliding glass doors out to the pool.
